Track Season Finale

The final track meet of the season came as a bit of a surprise, but a pleasant one at that. We had thought Daelynn was having her last practise and a party (just for the team). She called home soon after we dropped her off. Bethany was so glad to be able to come and cheer for her sister and her friends. It all began at nine in the morning, but it was HOT. Rebecca was glad she is in the habit of keeping sunscreen in the car and that she remembered to pack the umbrellas. We were in the sun for two full hours. Gabriella and Samuel spent the time wandering up and down the stadium stairs. And, Daelynn ran her best races - beating her own times and winning first in the 100 and 2nd in the 200 meter dashes. Miss Rainbow Brite herself... Miss Bethany.

Samuel is hoping for the last drop of juice from Daelynn's "power" drink. We've spent more time in the Wildcat stadium since graduating than we ever had time for before.

It's so fun to watch each member of our family stretch their legs of adventure in their own directions and cheer them on through victories and defeats. Congratulations Daelynn on learning the technique while struggling beyond your asthma!! On to the next thing...
