District Track Meet

When the second place runner dropped out from the District meet, Daelynn was invited to run in her stead. We drove south as a family, hoping the weather wouldn't be too hot for Daelynn's races. (We missed the Umbrella Memo but plan to purchase a couple of large ones for future sporting events.) This meet was larger with much older runners participating. Daelynn ran at top speed and obtained 5th place in the 100 yard dash and 4th place in the 200. In the meantime, we had fun keeping the little ones from falling off the bleachers.

Daelynn began this race behind and sped her way passed a couple of runners.

After the races, we walked from the high school to the nearby park to feed the ducks and play on the merry-go-round. James acted as conductor and engine for a large group of children (including our own.)

The stream where the geese hang out. Gabrie found an egg under an unprotected tree and picked it up before Rebecca could stop her. It was cold. Daelynn told her she would help her care for it. There has been some movement... more to come later, I'm sure.

Samuel is all tuckered out.
