Trampoline Meditations

Tonight, I looked out over a sink full of dishes.
Out over a yard full of straw waiting to be grass.
Out beyond the metal dome made of rainbows.
And found a purple fairy sitting indian-style:
       criss-cross, applesauce
Eyelids resting in a gentle tangle
and finger mudra.

How could I stay in?

Out I went.
Out of the suds.
Out of my shoes.
Out of my skin.
And into the lullaby laughter of air turned
        lightning bug, lady bug
Lilacs itching in new spring green
and touching toes

to the sky.
