Summer Rain

We could begin this blog with a rant directed at Belinda Carlisle for messing with the perfection of her hit song of this same title in hopes of resurrecting her musical career (Girl! Don't mess with a good thing.) But, instead, we'll focus on the positive, like all of fun we've been having in the Utah summer rainstorms. The first one this week came through in a thick, dark sky. The second was all lit up with sunlight and double rainbows.

Samuel and Gabriella were really thankful for the fort to keep their caramel corn and bubble fun going while it rained the first time. The second time, our friend Rachel was over for dinner. Originally from Louisianna, Rachel could get enough of the storm. She and Grandmere opened all the windows and doors to feel the power of the storm blow through the house. Sadly, Chrissee and Samuel had other ideas and there was a little bit of a struggle over whether or not the doors would be open or shut during dinner. In the end, we just went outside to be dazzled by the gorgeous, clear colors of the rainbow. Samuel and Bandit were playing ball during this storm.

Rebecca really needed a shower that day anyways.

Yes, it's a white blouse in the rain. Rebecca made her do it so she could see this smile on her face.
