My Grandma Bert asked me if having a graduate makes me feel old when I talked to her on the phone the other day. The completely honest answer? Nah. My kidney stones have, on occasion, have left me feeling old, but the first daughter to exit the womb crossing the finish line of secondary education a year early and half-way through her Associates Degree? No way. She and I still rock together while cleaning house and chat up the Constitutionality of the daily news on the way to here and there. Gotta love it!
Ask me again in a few years when she's leaving the nest for Universities yet unseen or on the day she gets her PhD. Ah, heck! You might have to wait another decade and an adopted grandbaby or two (at this juncture, Chrissee plans to adopt).
