Halloween 2010

Sam-wise the Viking
Halloween festivities began early this year as Rebecca prepared costumes for a Masquerade Wedding.  (Congratualations Josh and Sarah!)  With so much sewing and crocheting to be done for the masquerade, everyone else was left to get creative on their own.  Daelynn decided that a basic costume would be best.  Chrissee discovered she fit something Rebecca had already sewn (though it didn't matter, because her school didn't allow costumes this year AND she was at a band competition almost the whole day anyways.)  Bethany played it "Random".  Gabriella became a flower girl.  And Sam?  Well, after watching the movie How to Train Your Dragon sixteen times in one week, he just wanted to be a viking!  Rebecca was quick to tear up on old "lion" costume, and, with minimal stitches and some serious amounts of hot glue (a bowl and some foil), Samuel got his wish.

We visited Adda at Macey's.  He was the Beast all day checking groceries.

Miss Rachel pushing the trick-or-treat cart.
As you might have noticed, our family does Halloween so big, we sorta rub off on the neighbors!  Rachel had warned us that she doesn't "do" Halloween... something about the smell of mixed candy...but she just couldn't help herself.
Macey's employees get all decked out to share candy with the kids.
With so much heavy rain on Halloween day, and only the little kids at home, we decided not to go door-to-door for our trick-or-treating.  We only walked around Macey's and visited with the Young's who had hot chocolate and cookies!
Even Bandit got into the fun as a "Devil Dog"... ps - it's harder to costume a pet than you might think!

Yep! It's Rebecca behind that mask.

Chrissee as Betsy Ross.
For once this Marching Band season, Chrissee was home before the sun went down.  Rebecca asked her to get all dressed up.  Free chocolate wasn't tempting enough to get her back out walking in the rain though.

Since Rebecca's birthday was coming up AND he wanted to show off the compliment to his own costume to his friend (and chef) Toni, James asked Rebecca to put the bustle back on and eat some sushi!

Toni hands James a menu.

When you need a costume...wear a COSTUME!
