The Treehouse Museum

This afternoon, Granmere had the carpets cleaned. The rest of us headed out to the Treehouse Children's Museum to enjoy hours of fun without the word "NO!" in it. I didn't grab the camera before leaving, but here are some highlights:

At the entrance, James and Rebecca stopped to purchase tickets. Samuel ran in and James asked Chrissee, "Go get him!" To which, Chrissee snapped, "I'm not that babysitter." And James retorted, "Yes you are!" The very observant attendant said, "Those two must be siblings." This was observant because Rebecca has said for years that Chrissee and James argue like brother and sister. Of course, no one can really blame them considering that James' youngest sister is Chrissee's age...

Chrissee and Rebecca took a moment to play "Sumo Wrestler" by wearing the large, foam train pieces in the Toddler Train area. They almost got ejected from the playing field...

Gabriella - donned in a backward pink nightgown dress up - running up the tree steps carrying a basket of plastic rolls exclaiming, "We have to find the castle!!"

Chrissee and Rebecca stopping for a game of chess narrated in Aussie-speak by Rebecca: "OYE! You killed moy fellow knoight! We were drink-ing Co-coah togethah." The game ended in a draw with both Kings left standing.

When it was time to go (we played for almost three hours), James pulled out his lazer beam and had the little ones chasing it all the way to the door. We thought we were home free and were going to be able to leave without saying the word "GO!" or hearing one complaint. But, Samuel was on to the deception as soon as he saw the door and turned around at high speed heading back in for more fun! (Too bad it was really time to go.)
