| Chrissee and Ruben -- Cheetah-cool |
Due to crazy work schedules, we started out early Saturday morning with a pancake breakfast. None of the dates were there as couples and none of the people we fed were Chrissee's friends...but we had fun nonetheless (and Chrissee made me my first ever Junior Mint pancake -- delicious!) While running errands, Chrissee mentioned that Ruben hadn't been able to find a tie. So, we stopped by the fabric store and found a cheetah print. Who knew sewing a tie from faux fur would be such a PAIN?!
In the afternoon, Chrissee's friends Megan and Bryn were done with the ACT and being grounded so they joined us for movies and manicure fun! (Even Bryn had his nails painted in red.) As night fell, I threw together a nice dinner of Pumpkin Curry Soup and bread bowls (even a gluten free one for Chrissee). The table was set with candles and finery. The kids had fun acting formal and making toasts.
After Ruben was off from work, we drove to pick him up to join the party (snapping a couple of pics along the way.) Chrissee had the most fun ever on a date. Ruben actually DANCES!! I can't wait to see the pics from the dance, but this is one from before they left.
