Meet James' dog, Lady Galadriel. She's an 8 week old German Shepard/Siberian Husky mix. She beautiful and smart and...a bit on the anxious side right now. We have a lot of new people and smells to get used to, you know?
We call her "Drie" (pronounced "dree-uh") and she is a very intelligent little girl. She and Tuxie have been secretly sneaking each others food and pretending to be put out when they catch each other at it. The first day, Tuxie arched his back farther than we thought possible, but now (four days later), they are playing together and chasing each other around the house. (When Tuxie's done, he just heads for a hiding place that is too small for Drie.) Her mom and dad were 40 and 70 pounds, respectively, so she will not be a little dog for long!
The first night we took her for a walk, we couldn't get past three houses. But, last night, we made it all the way around the block. She was very reluctant at first, but once she got the hang of it, she didn't really want to come back home. We really are looking forward to all of the fun experiences that will come with loving pets as part of our family.
She is SO CUTE!! We have to have a playdate with our puppies sometime!
