Thursday evening the Advanced Jazz Band warmed our ears and swung our souls with musical numbers: "Oye, Como Va!", "Cameleon", "Land of Make Believe", and "Wrap it Up"
It was Chrissee's first performance in front of a crowd and she looked mah-velous in Rebecca's orange jacket (bringing good luck all the way from China - thanks James!)
Chrissee was rockin' the house, even though she was sporting four inch heals.
On the final number, a fellow band member began the song slightly off on his timing. This wasn't even noticed by the crowd because Chrissee played a strong part and helped everyone get back on track within the first two measures. Before going on stage, Chrissee had taken a little ribbing for being a first-timer (a whole lot of people didn't even know she could play). After the performance, Chrissee left the stage feeling like a Musician.
And that deserves a standing O.
