In Honor of Abe

Mrs. Ashton tells the audience about some of President Lincoln's trials. (Autumn doesn't miss a moment for the camera.) The string section of the orchestra is ready to begin.
This is one of Rebecca's friends youngest sons. We are always a little stunned and blessed that our children are surrounded by other children who strive to do their best everyday.
We weren't sitting in the best position to get many great shots of Bethany. But hearing how well the choir blended spoke volumes of the work they've all done.
Bethany's Choir concert trailed hot on the heels of Daelynn's Birthday Party tonight. Rebecca thought she might pass out from exhaustion, but couldn't stand the idea of missing another concert. Gabriella and Daelynn came along for the show. Two local elementary schools joined the orchestra, band and choir in saluting President Abraham Lincoln. We've heard so much about his shining moments that it was interesting to hear about the political losses and the debt he overcame before becoming President of the United States of America. All of the students had worked really hard to memorize their parts and give their best performances. Bethany was a little unhappy with one false start from the choir, but the audience didn't even notice.
