America, Land of Dreams

Every year, the fifth graders work hard to put the Social Studies knowledge into practise and show it off for family and friends to song. This year, Daelynn was Clovis or Cloe - named for the scientific name of the "original" natives to America thought to have crossed the land bridge between Russia and Alaska. She was joined by such famous dreamers as Leif Erikson, Christopher Columbus, Sacagawea, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Brigham Young, and Abraham Lincoln.

We're so proud of Daelynn for shining on stage. She had lots of lines, a solo, songs and cue to remember and did it all beautifully. We're also really thankful to Mrs. Costley who felt knowing the Constitution and the Declaration of Independance by heart is important enough to spend valuable classroom time on AND that "blind" casting can be done with style. Sweet job everyone!
